Page Views

The Page Views functionality is an Analytics tool which track and provides insights into the frequency of visiting different pages of the target application by both identified and anonymous users. It brings the overview of how many unique users visited various pages within the application together with the detailed list of all visited pages and the chart visualization.

The data can be filtered based on the Time period and the Segmentation the same way as in other Analytics tools.

Page Views tab is accessible from the Analytics section in Portal:

Summary

The Summary section provides an overview of two key metrics - the total number of page views across all different pages and the total number of unique users within the selected time range.

Additionally, both of them include an engagement percentage showing the progress. The engagement percentage is calculated by comparing the current date to the previous month, regardless of the selected time range:

Page List

The Page List is a table that presents an overview of all the unique URLs that have been visited by users in the target application. It includes columns that provide important metrics for each specific URL, such as the number of views and the number of unique users.

The table allows users to sort the data in ascending or descending order based on any column. In cases where the table contains more than 10 rows (default number of rows per page), paging functionality is available and allows users to navigate between different pages of the table:

Trends

Trend Chart area brings the graphical overview of the data from the Summary section within the specified time range. User can switch between the two tabs to see the Views Trend or the Users Trend:

URL Search

Search functionality allows the user to filter the data based on the key word(s) inserted into the search field. The relevant results are shown then in all the Page Views sections (Summary, Page List, Trend Charts).

It also gives the user advanced control of what to get by using certain operators. The possible syntax is advised in the popup tooltip of the info icon.

Favorites

User of Analytics can create a set of favorite URLs for even better Page Views tracking. Favorites section is available under Page Views Summary in case that URL Search is not in use (if you are searching URL using the search field at the top bar, Favorites section will not be visible).

Once you click the "+ Add" button, a dialog opens and you can create the first Favorite:

  • Insert a Favorite name
  • Type the URL or a part of it - here you can also use URL Search functionality (see the tooltip)
  • You can continue adding more URLs within the same Favorite group - use + button as shown on the image below
  • You can remove URLs from the list of that specific Favorite group - use bin icon as shown on the image below

Once you click Create, a new row appears in the Favorites section and it shows the number of views and unique users for all the URLs specified within this particular Favorite group. You can use again "+ Add" button in order to continue creating other Favorite groups:

You can also edit the existing Favorite row (for example if you want to change its name, add/remove URLs inside the group or delete the whole Favorite). Hover over the Favorite name and you will see the button for editing. Once you click on it, you access the Favorite dialog again:

Favorite Detail

If you click on the Favorite name in the Favorites table, the Detail opens and you can find the Summary, Page List and Trends data related just to that specific Favorite group for the selected time period:
