Activity Feed

Modified on Tue, 26 Sep, 2023 at 11:08 AM

Activity Feed is the Analytics tool which provides a centralized view of various actions performed by different users. This allows the user of Analytics to easily review and analyze user activities in a single location.

The Analytics data available in the Activity Feed section can be filtered based on different conditions such as type of activity, specific time period, applied Segment or their combinations. Activity Feed section includes also search functionality.

Filtering in Activity Feed

The data available in Activity Feed section can be filtered based on the selected time range or Segment (more information can be found in this article: Segments in Analytics).

The important functionality of Activity Feed section is filtering based on the Activity type. The Analytics data can be adjusted by simple checking/unchecking the activity type checkboxes so that either all activities performed by users are shown or only some of them.

Journeys

  • "Completed" checkbox filter: to show activity logs of Journeys completed by users
  • "Failed" checkbox filter: to show activity logs of Journeys which failed for the users
  • "Drop off" checkbox filter: to show activity logs of Journeys dropped off by users

Each Journey activity type log contains the name of the user, clickable Journey name which navigates the user to the Journey Analytics section, and date and time when the activity was performed:

Activity logs have the Details section which can be expanded by clicking the "arrow" Details button. In case that the Journey is part of a Playbook (or more Playbooks), the Details section shows information about the progress made by the user in the scope of each Playbook:

Playbooks

  • "Completed" checkbox filter: to show activity logs of the Playbooks completed by users

Each Completed Playbook activity log contains the name of the user, the clickable Playbook name which navigates the user to the Playbook Analytics section, and the date and time when the Playbook completion was done:

The expandable Details section contains the list of all Journeys inside that specific Playbook including clickable Journey names and the date and time of completion of each Journey.

Feedbacks

  • "Submitted" Feedbacks filter allows the user of Analytics to see only Feedbacks related actions, means all Feedbacks given by different end users

Each Submitted Feedback activity log contains the name of the user, the clickable name of the Journey and date and time when the Feedback was submitted. If the Feedback is submitted inside a specific step, then the step title is also shown in the activity log:

The Details section of the Feedback activity log shows the Rating given by the end user and the Message (in case it was provided by the user):

Search functionality

The user of Analytics can insert a key word (or even more words) into the Search field and use Enter key or "magnifying glass" button to search all activity logs matching the key word(s).

The key word(s) search functionality is applied on all types of activities (Journeys/Playbooks/Feedbacks Activity logs) and can be used in the combination with Segment filtering, Time period filtering and Activity type filtering.

If you search for two or more key words, you get only the logs which are matching all of them at once.

Example 1: The key word is the username and the search is applied on all activity types within the given time period

Result: There are all activity type logs found within that specific time range for the given username:

Example 2: Searching two key words

Result: Only logs which are matching both key words at once, are shown in such case:
