In order to have the Launcher visible on your target application, Newired needs to be able to get content from the portal and push it as an overlay.
To achieve this, we need to deploy the connection logic between your web app and the Newired server. This is a one-time operation only which is mandatory for the technology to work for end-users.
We provide two choices for this operation: snippet deployment and browser extension deployment, which can be found at this link.
This article will cover the snippet deployment, so proceed reading if this is your option of choice.
The deployment task is quite technical, so it is highly suggested that somebody from your IT department or someone who knows the underlying application's architecture is present to proceed.
It is necessary to find a proper place where to enter the snippet, which varies from one application to another. It is necessary to ensure that the snippet gets executed with every refresh of the web-app.
You can find your snippet in the deployment section of your portal, as shown below:
Below this snippet, you can see another snippet, which is related to the collection of feedback and analytics of your guidance. You should add this right after your overlay snippet in order to collect data about Journey Reports and Feedbacks.
Remember that this is a one-time operation that needs to be done for each site you want to have the overlay published onto.
Once this is done after you have published some content (please check out this video to see the publishing process), your content will be live and ready for your users.
